Who you deal with

One small team. Not a branch office.

Any firm can lodge your return. We are the ones who pick up the phone in March, when the big decisions get made.

  • Small businesses
  • Self managed super funds
  • Property investors and estates

The people you meet do your work. Here, in Albury.

Meet the firm

Self managed super

Your super fund, lodged on time. Every year.

You get the accounts, the annual return, the audit arranged and pension events reported on time. Trustees carry the legal risk. So we treat the deadlines as ours.

  • Annual financial statements and member statements
  • SMSF annual return preparation and lodgement
  • Independent audit arranged with an ASIC-registered auditor
  • Transfer balance reporting when a pension starts, stops or changes
  • Contribution cap tracking during the year, while an excess can still be fixed

One line worth knowing. Advice on whether a fund suits you, or what it should buy, needs a financial services licence. You get the accounts, tax and admin here. Your licensed adviser handles the rest. We work with them.

More on SMSF work

How we work

No surprises, at either end.

You know the scope and the fee before any work starts. Four steps. The first one is free.

Book a consultation

Half an hour, no charge. Phone or in the office.

Step 01

Free 30 minute chat

Half an hour, no charge. You say where things are at. You find out what you need. Often it is less than you feared.

Step 02

Scope and fee, in writing

You get both in writing before anything starts. Fixed where the work can be fixed. Explained where it cannot.

Step 03

Set up

You send your records. You link to us as your tax agent. We pick up anything outstanding with the ATO.

Step 04

Through the year

Lodgements go in on time. Between them, you call when something comes up. Not in June.

Why DWA

28 years on the border. All of it working for you.

Local knowledge is not a slogan here. It is the difference between a return that gets lodged and a business that is set up right for both sides of the river.

Cross-border

The border is our problem. Not yours.

Businesses here trade both ways across the Murray. That means two sets of rules at once.

  1. 01Payroll tax thresholds that differ between NSW and Victoria
  2. 02Workers compensation under two separate schemes
  3. 03Stamp duty rules that do not agree with each other

You see none of it. Handling both states is routine here.

Common questions

Before you call.

No. You can bring a personal return too. Rental property, shares or a capital gain are the usual reasons. If your return is simple, we will tell you so.

Yes. You get the fund's accounts, annual return, audit and pension reports. Moving a fund across is routine. We ask your old accountant for the workpapers and pick up from the last lodged return.

It depends on the entity, the state of your records and what is outstanding. You get a quote in writing after the first chat. That chat is free.

It is common and it is fixable. Several years of unlodged returns is not unusual. The ATO is fair when you come forward. Bring what records you have. We work out the rest.

Yes, and it is easier than you think. We write to your old accountant for your records and switch the tax agent with the ATO. You do not need an awkward chat with them first.

Not if you would rather not. Phone and email cover most of the work. Records can be sent online. The office is on Kiewa Street if you want to sit down with someone.

Start with a free consultation.

Half an hour, no charge. You leave knowing what you need. The fee follows in writing.
